NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.
Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. Special education in ethics is an option for your primary-age child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Religion and ethics.
The special religious curriculum will be delivered by: Lachlan Young
Location: SRHS Library (level 3) on Tuesdays at lunch 2 (12:30 - 1:00 pm)
Approved Provider: Anglican Diocese of Sydney
Attendance at SRE is voluntary and schools organise SRE according to parent wishes and the demands of the religious provider.
Students who have indicated that they would like to attend scripture lessons will do so once a fortnight. Remaining students will do revision, homework or private study during this time.
Students can withdraw from their SRE class with written permission from their parent or carer.
