Sarah Redfern High School joins with Daystar Foundation in the Literacy Buddy Program, where Year 7 students are partnered with a lawyer from the Clayton Utz Law Firm as their Literacy Buddy.
The purpose of the program is to enable our students to get to know someone who operates in the corporate world and to expand their literacy skills through letter writing. The students learn about their 'big' buddy including their study choices, work and interests. They encourage our students to reach for their goals and work hard to obtain the best education possible.
Eight letters are exchanged, the final one being delivered in person when the students meet their Literacy Buddy at the Clayton Utz offices for lunch and presentations.
