We are super chuffed to report that Francis (Year 10) won the first round and the semi-finals of the UN Voice NSW Public Speaking competition in a very tough field with students representing elite independent schools. He has now progressed to the Grand Finals which will be held at NSW Parliament House. The competition included writing and presenting a proposal to a global issue and a question-answer impromptu round. It was a fine moment for us and we’re wishing Francis all the very best for his finals!
In other exciting news, we’re also proud to report that Shereta (Year 9) won the first round and made it to the semi-finals of the Legacy Junior Public Speaking competition. She did really well in both her prepared and impromptu rounds; watch this girl in years to come!
Here’s a super-Dooper proud Public Speaking coach Mrs Fernandes with our great achievers. Go Team SRHS!
